The Journey That Shaped Her Work
Sofia's path into personal development wasn't planned. During her psychology studies at the University of Lisbon, she noticed something that puzzled her: students with deep theoretical knowledge still struggled with real-world change. They knew what to do, but couldn't consistently do it. That gap became her obsession.
She pursued specialized coaching certifications and spent years combining evidence-based psychology with practical habit-formation techniques. Her first seven years were spent as an independent coach in Lisbon, working one-on-one and gradually refining what actually works. She discovered that most people don't fail because they lack motivation — they fail because they lack the right framework and genuine community support.
In 2016, she launched her first group program in Porto. It grew quickly, eventually serving over 200 participants annually. That success led her to co-found lahtevere.org Lda, where she now oversees all educational programming. Today, she's known for a philosophy that's refreshingly straightforward: personal growth isn't mystical or instant. It's a skill anyone can develop with proper guidance and incremental progress.
